SSHA through regional associations associates more than 350 owners and investors in small hydropower plants. It was established in 1988 with main goals being representation of the members, nature protection, improvement of the grid connection conditions and the electricity pricing, professional assistance to the members and training with conservation of the cultural and technical heritage.
In June 2008 SSHA and ESHA, with the support of EU, are organizing the international Hidroenergia conference. By naming the main topic »On The Crossroads« we wished to stress the current energy and environmental threats and development opportunities.
